The 2020 iteration of the Yamaha NMAX 155 has been launched in Thailand at TBH 85,900 (about Rs 2 lakh*). The maxi-scooter is already available for sale in the Indonesian market.
In terms of features, the 2020 NMAX 155 gets apron-mounted, twin-pod LED headlight and a tinted visor at the front. The rear gets twin-pod LED taillight. The Indonesia-spec scooter comes with features such as Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, traction control system and keyless start. The Thailand-spec model, however, misses out on Bluetooth-connectivity function and traction control system.
Other maxi-scooter traits on the NMAX 155 include split-style footboard. Storage solutions include a large under-seat space and two compartments at the front. The company also offers an on-board USB charger. The scooter is available in four colours in the Thailand market – Red, Blue, Black and Grey.
Mechanical specifications include a 155cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, four-valve, water-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology and a Stop and Start system. The motor is tuned to deliver 14.9bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 14.4Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. Braking setup includes disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS.
