- Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 Garnet black colour revealed
- Gets red coloured swingarm and frame
- India launch expected soon
Mahindra is all set to bring back the Mojo 300 with the BS6 update in India. After releasing a teaser image of the motorcycle recently, the company has now given us a clear view of the Garnet black colour option of the bike.
While most of the body panels are adorned with black paint, certain components such as the frame and swingarm are finished in bright red colour which lend it a sporty appeal. Although this colour option is all-new, the overall styling of the Mojo BS6 is identical to its BS4 counterpart. It sports the same bulky front section with a dual-pod headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, chunky radiator guards and stubby tail section holding a single piece seat. It also gets a single exhaust canister similar to the Mojo UT 300.
Mahindra is expected to retain the same 295cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine of the BS4 Mojo, however, with certain changes for BS6 compliance. This might affect the performance to some extent and the power output might be lower than that of the BS4 model’s 26bhp and 28Nm. It will continue to feature a six-speed gearbox. Similar to the BS4 Mojo UT 300, the cycle parts comprise of 17-inch alloy wheels suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock along with a disc brake at both ends. Dual-channel ABS should be available as standard.
The Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 is likely to be priced at a premium of around Rs 10,000-15,000 over the Mojo UT 300 BS4 which was pegged at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will compete against the new Bajaj Dominar 250.
