- Aprilia teases RS600 ahead of its EICMA unveil
- Reveals its raw exhaust note and distinctive headlamp section
- Will be powered by a 660cc, parallel-twin motor
The unending queue of pre-EICMA teasers just saw an addition of a new video from Aprilia. After releasing an image showing the silhouette of its upcoming RS660 supersport, the Italian bike maker has now rolled out a teaser video of the bike on its social media channel.
The power-packed video reveals a few aspects of the bike and its husky parallel-twin exhaust note, besides featuring Andrea Iannone, Aprilia’s MotoGP rider. Besides flashing the sharp contours of the RS660, the teaser clearly shows the radical-looking front section of the bike. It gets a horizontally-stacked sleek headlamp setup which is accompanied by a pair of ferocious-looking, angular LED DRLs. Moreover, a red fairing sporting the ‘RS660’ badge has also been featured.
The middle-weight supersport will be powered by a 660cc, parallel-twin motor derived from the RSV4’s V4 mill. In the previous teaser, Aprilia had described the bike as ‘a new exciting concept of sportiness for every day’, indicating that it will be much friendlier than its elder RSV4 sibling. Furthermore, the motorcycle is expected to get top-notch electronics along with premium set of hardware.
Aprilia will unveil the RS660 in all its glory at the EICMA show on 5 November. Following its international launch, which is expected to take place by the end of this year, it is expected to come to the Indian shores later. The motorcycle will lock horns with the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
