Airbags for two-wheelers under development!

- Piaggio, Autoliv join hands

- Will co-develop airbag system for two-wheelers

Piaggio Group and Autoliv – a Swedish company have joined hands to develop an airbag for two-wheelers.

This partnership will see both companies working towards an airbag system that can be deployed on two-wheelers. Autolive – a company that supplies safety components to a lot of automobile manufacturers, have already developed one concept of this airbag.

The airbag will be deployed of two-wheeler’s frame and will be deployed in milliseconds. The company has already started full-scale crash tests to check if this system works as planned and designed.

We are expecting this safety system to hit the production vehicles in five to six years and when that happens, it is definitely going to revolutionize the industry.
