Akrapovic has launched a new performance-oriented exhaust system for the 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R, which will also be available in India. Called Evolution Line Carbon, this exhaust system has been designed for enthusiasts looking to extract maximum performance out of their ZX-10R.
The Evolution Line Carbon is offered with a hexagonal carbon fibre end can, inspired by Tom Sykes’ and Jonathan Rea's World Superbike Championship winning race bike. This end can not only reduces the overall weight of the system by over five kilograms, but also blends with the bike’s racy character. The system is constructed from high-grade and lightweight titanium alloy, and improves power and torque delivery across the entire rev range. At peak rpms, the bump in power is as much as 16 horsepower while the torque rating is higher by 5Nm. However, this Evolution Line system does require an ECU remap once it is installed. The exhaust also comes with removable baffles which give the rider the option of two different exhaust notes.
In India, this aftermarket system will set you back by Rs 1.91 lakh, and it takes around four weeks to procure one from the factory in Slovenia. To get one, you can contact Akrapovic’s official importers over here.
