- Kawasaki Indonesia releases new teaser
- New bike debuting on 1 October
- Rumoured to be the Ninja ZX-4R
Kawasaki is rumoured to have been working on a larger 400cc iteration of the Ninja ZX-25R. Until recently, we just had a few speculated details of this inline four-cylinder offering. But now, the expected launch date of the motorcycle has been released.
Kawasaki Indonesia has rolled out a teaser video which doesn't reveal the motorcycle but shows the 'ZX' logo. And one of the reliable Japanese online publications states that it will be the Ninja ZX-4R.
Similar to the ZX-25R, which has been on sale in the international markets for a few years, the ZX-4R too will boast a performance-centric inline four-cylinder engine format. As per documents leaked in August, it will run on a 399cc mill which might produce power in the ballpark of 65-70bhp. Notably, the 25R pumps out about 50bhp which is commendable considering its displacement.
With the Ninja ZX-4R, Kawasaki is said to have set its eyes on the Aprilia RS660 and the Yamaha R7. Although it will undoubtedly be a very potent track missile, its entry into India is uncertain as its steep price will make it unfit for our price-sensitive market.
