Bengaluru-based EV-maker, Ampere, recently launched its new flagship electric scooter offering, the Nexus. Now, this e-scooter is offered in two variants – EX and ST. Here is what both these Ampere Nexus trims have to offer.
Nexus EX
This is the Nexus scooter's entry-level model, costing Rs. 1,09,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The EX-trim comes with a 6.2-inch display without smartphone connectivity, navigation, music control or even charging statistics.
It is powered by a 3kWh battery linked to a 4.0kW peak power motor. The setup offers a 93kmph top speed and 136km of maximum range. The Ampere Nexus scooter gets five ride modes – Eco, City, Power, Limp, and Reverse. It also packs all LED lights and gets OTA updates as well.
The hardware comprises 12-inch wheels on both ends wrapped in 90/90 tyres. The suspension on the Ampere Nexus scooter includes telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. A front disc and rear drum brake does its braking duties.
Nexus ST
This top-spec model shares the hardware, battery, motor and design with the EX-variant. But it costs Rs. 10,000 more and is priced at Rs. 1,19,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This is a result of the additional features you get with the ST model – 7-inch TFT, navigation, music control, auto day/night switch, and charging statistics.
Both the Nexus variants – EX and ST – can be bought in four different colours – Steel Grey, Indian Red, Zanskar Aqua, and Lunar White.
