Greaves Cotton has unveiled the Ampere Primus electric scooter at the Auto Expo 2023. It’s the latest two-wheeler from the EV maker and here’s what we know about it.
The Ampere Primus looks quite youthful and practical. It also gets LED illumination, sharp side panels, a reasonably large floorboard, a single piece, and a rear grab rail. The turn indicators are integrated into the front apron, below the headlight.
It’s powered by a 4kW motor mated to a 3kWh LFP battery. Greaves claims that the Ampere Primus’s top speed is 77kmph and the maximum range is around 100km. It features three riding modes: eco, city, and power. For added convenience, the e-scooter also gets a reverse mode. The Ampere Primus also features Bluetooth connectivity and navigation on its instrument console.
The hardware setup comprises telescopic front forks and a single rear shock, and a front and rear drum brake setup mounted on the alloy wheels. Greaves will reveal the prices soon and offer the Ampere Primus in five different paint schemes.
