- Ampere Vehicles inaugurates 23 new dealerships
- Expanded its reach substantially since September 2019
Ampere Vehicles, a Coimbatore-based electric two-wheeler company owned by Greaves Cotton, has expanded its dealership across India by opening 23 new retail outlets since September 2019. Following this expansion, the company now has presence in the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan.
Ampere’s portfolio currently comprises of five electric scooters with different speed, range and styling. This includes the Zeal, which is the brand’s flagship model with 75km of range and up to 55kmph of top speed. Other more affordable offerings include the Reo, V48, Magnus and the recently-launchedReo Elite. While the flagship Zeal is available only with lithium-ion battery, the Reo Elite and Magnus come powered by a lead acid battery. Meanwhile, the Reo and V48 are available with both battery options.
The company recently touched the milestone of retailing 50,000 units of its EVs in India. Ampere marked this achievement by rolling out various offers on its products such as free insurance scheme for its top-spec model Zeal and free accessories worth Rs 1,000 on other models. The prices of Ampere electric scooters start at Rs 35,899 for the V48 (lead acid) and go up to Rs 69,599 for the Zeal (both prices are ex-showroom).
