Apollo Tyres has launched its new tyre brand – the Tramplr. This new tyre brand is positioned as off-road and street tyres.
The Tramplr tyres will cater to adventure, touring and street bikes. Currently, the range has two products – the Tramplr XR and the Tramplr ST. The Tramplr XR is a 70:30 road, off-road tyre and will cater to bikes like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the BMW G310R, Bajaj Dominar and the KTM series. The goal of having such a tyre on motorcycles is because a lot of riders want to go off-road and don’t want to limit their experiences to the tarmac. The Tramplr XR is expected to help them achieve that goal. The XR is a steel radial tyre and gets bigger tread blocks for better grip off-road. It also gets open cross grooves and stone ejectors to make the ride more comfortable and safer.
The Tramplr ST is for bikes that will be primarily ridden in the city. Hence, this range gets a bias ply and tread pattern that allows it to have a better grip in wet as well as dirt conditions. The brand has also integrated the tyre with cool-looking street graffiti on the sidewalls and tyre wear indicator.
The prices for the Tramplr ST range between Rs 4500 and Rs 6000 for a set, whereas for the Tramplr XT, the prices are between Rs 6500 and Rs 12,000. The company will also launch tyres for the 21-inch front-wheel motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Hero XPulse 200 by December.
