Aprilia eSR1 electric vehicle revealed

- Available for display in Italy

- Priced at 659 euros (Rs 59,630)

- Features a removable battery, LED lighting

Piaggio has revealed the Aprilia eSR1 and the electric vehicle isn't what we were expecting. Instead of a full-sized variant of the company's SR160 petrol-powered scooter, the eSR1 is a lightweight vehicle.

The eSR1 is powered by a 350W, brushless motor that is claimed to minimise maintenance. The motor draws power from a 280Wh battery that is claimed to deliver a range of up to 30km per charge. The removable battery pack can be charged though a wall charger.

Left Rear Three Quarter

The vehicle rides on 10-inch wheels that are shod in tubeless tyres. The eSR1 is built around a magnesium alloy frame and the braking system comprises dual front electric brakes and a rear disk brake. The feature list includes the LED front and rear lights and a 3.5-inch LCD display that is incorporated in the handlebar.

Priced at 659 euros (Rs 59,630), the eSR1 is already available for preview at Piaggio Group’s main flagship Motoplex stores in Italy and at selected dealers. It will be available for purchase from 20 January, 2021 from consumer electronics stores, specialist stores, and top online stores.
