- Packs a 174cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor
- Gets dual-purpose tyres
- Is equipped with an LCD screen, LED illumination and other nifty features
Aprilia has taken the veils off the SR GT 200 in Japan as its latest offering for the country. By the looks of it, the SR GT 200 seems to be quite off-road friendly and a tad more purposeful than the scooters we are used to.
Keeping up with its stablemates, the SR GT 200 gets a very swanky design language. The split LED headlight topped by a smoked windscreen, butch bodywork and the tall stance all contribute for a very likeable and rugged scooter.
It is powered by a 174cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor that dishes out 17.4bhp and 16.5Nm. The motor is nestled in a double cradle chassis suspended on conventional telescopic fork and dual rear springs. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a 260mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc.
Apart from LED illumination, the SR GT 200 also features an LCD dashboard and USB socket. Aprilia will also offer Bluetooth connectivity as an option.
All said and done, the Aprilia SR GT 200 won’t be heading to India anytime soon. However, if you are looking to go off-road and are open to options, we recommend you watch this space as we’ve recently put a few bikes through their paces at our Off-Road Day 2021.
