- RS 660 Trofeo limited bike unveiled
- Gets a lot of race-ready upgrades
- One of Aprilia's expensive bikes
Aprilia has decided to sell their most extreme RS 660 built ever. The company has just launched the R660 Trofeo model, which the company's racing team has developed.
This RS660 Trofeo has been built on the standard RS660 but gets a long list of performance and track updates. These upgrades are so significant that the Italian brand wants to sell this in limited numbers in the United States. This makes the bike one of the world's most exclusive middle-weight supersport bikes.
The Italian racing team has given it some front forks from Andreani, and the rear suspension is from Ohlins- an AP948 unit with a remote reservoir. This race bike gets full adjustability at the front and rear. The brakes are from Brembo, and the top-spec tyres have come from Pirelli - the famous Supercorsa V3 SC1 rubber. Like other race bikes, this one also gets a host of electronics like wheelie control, traction control, and engine braking adjustability.
This Aprilia is equipped with a full titanium SC-Project exhaust system, which helps it produce more power at 105bhp. The main frame has been upgraded to allow the rider to position lower to use aerodynamics fully. The fairing has also been upgraded for race use. The seating ergonomics can also be further customized, thanks to the triple racing clamp with adjustable clip-ons and adjustable rearsets.
All these upgrades are costly, as each unit has been priced at a whopping $21,000. The sale for the RS 660 Trofeo will begin on April 11 on its official website.
