Aprilia is known to expand its motorcycle lineup with the X treatment. Not so long ago, the brand debuted the RSV4 X Trenta and now, it has unveiled the RSV4 X EX3MA. It is based on the Italian bikemaker’s flagship supersport motorcycle but is now on steroids. Here’s how.
The silhouette of the X EX3MA is similar to that of the standard RSV4. However, the entire bodywork is made of carbon fibre by Pan Compositi. It uses the same process that serves the Aprilia RS GP bike.
Further, the RSV4 X EX3MA is said to be the only production bike with ground-effective aerodynamics. It too has been used in Aprilia’s Gran Prix race bike and features a step fairing with cornering winglets to generate five times the downforce compared to the X Trenta model.
The Aprilia RSV4 X EX3MA weighs just 165kg and gets a full system SC Project exhaust too. Further, this is a limited-run model and only 30 units will be produced.
Powering the Aprilia RSV4 X EX3MA is a 1099cc 65-degree V4 engine. It makes 230bhp and 131NM and gets a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick shifter. Aprilia has also opted for a Titanium rear sprocket and a lighter front sprocket designed by the brand’s racing division.
Its hardware too is just as fancy. The X EX3MA rides on Pressurized cartridge Ohlins FKR forks and an Ohlins TTX monoshock. Both are fully adjustable and the rear spring is derived from the Moto GP bike.
The braking hardware on the limited edition Aprilia RSV4 comprises twin 330mm front and single rear disc with Brembo DP 330 front and a rear Monoblock caliper, respectively. These are mounted on full carbon 17-inch wheels.
The Aprilia RSV4 X EX3MA is a race-oriented machine and can only be ridden on the racetrack. This also means none of its parts are covered by any warranty.
The asking price for the Aprilia RSV4 X EX3MA is set a USD 99,000 (approximately Rs. 83.14 lakh).
