Aprilia recently introduced the SR GT 200 in Japan. While we have already brought you details of this interesting-looking scooter, here are all the images of the Aprilia SR GT 200 for you to ogle at.
As we mentioned earlier, the Aprilia SR GT looks unique. And that is because of its adventure-inspired styling. You get a front end that looks similar to Aprilia’s motorcycles with the split LED setup coupled with a tall windscreen that completes its tallish profile.
There also is a wide, almost motorcycle-like handlebar fitted with knuckle guards, high-ground clearance and long-travel suspension to befit its light off-roading persona. The rest of the scooter, though, is pretty conventional for a maxi-scooter with a ‘spine’ and a large seat.
At the rear end is a stubby mudguard to give the SR GT 200’s character another hint of adventure. Moreover, Aprilia is also offering the scooter in some flashy colour schemes of yellow, red and a subtle grey as well.
The Aprilia SR GT 200 uses a 174cc, single-cylinder engine that is tuned to produce 17.43bhp at 8500rpm and 16.5Nm at 7,000rpm. However, with a full 9-litre fuel tank, the scooter tips the scales at a hefty 148kg.
On the hardware front, things are quite premium with the SR GT 200 being equipped with suspension sourced from Showa. Braking duties are handled by a 260mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc that are clipped to a 14-inch front/13-inch rear wheel respectively. And to complete its adventure-esque appeal, Aprilia has wrapped the wheels in dual-purpose tyres.
As for the list of features offered on the Aprilia SR GT 200, there is full-LED lighting, start-stop system and a massive 25-litre underseat storage. The LCD instrument cluster can be fitted with Bluetooth, as an option.
