- Tuareg 660 Rally spotted testing
- Gets new chassis
- Loaded with top-spec Ohlins
Aprilia has commenced road testing of its upcoming Tuareg 660 Rally. A prototype of this bike was seen testing in a rally competition.
This rally version is being developed based on the standard version. In fact, many changes and additions have been made to make it race ready. The main chassis has been changed, and the overall frame geometry has been altered to get better stability at high speed. A top-spec Ohlins suspension has also been installed on this ADV. The Italian brand has given it a titanium SC Project exhaust and premium air filter to make it lighter and faster.
Currently, there are no details on the engine's performance, but according to a report, the brand is expected to work on the engine in the next few weeks. The brand also has plans to install auxiliary fuel tanks to get that extended riding range. Notably, Metzeler wants to work on this bike as it intends to enter the world of rally racing.
We are expecting a final bike reveal sometime next year and the official launch after that. Sadly, this bike won't come to India as Piaggio doesn't find this segment in India exciting enough.
