After two years of fiddling around and testing the prototype, Arch Motorcycle Company has finally unveiled the production model of its first product, the KRGT-1. Brainchild of veteran actor Keanu Reeves and custom chopper ace Gard Hollinger, Arch Motorcycle Company was created when the actor approached Hollinger to create a ‘custom sissy bar’ for his cruiser.
The KRGT-1’s shape and forward foot controls indicate that it is a chopper by soul; however the rest of the bike is a mishmash of many other things. A majority of bodywork of the single seater motorcycle has been sculpted in billet aluminium, giving it a minimalist look.
The front forks are fully-adjustable Ohlins units while the wheels are made of carbon fibre. The KRGT-1 is powered by a 2,032cc T124 Twin-Cam V-twin engine, which churns out 122bhp and 165Nm of torque at the wheel, through a six-speed Baker Drivetrain transmission.
Arch Motorcycle will offer the KRGT-1 with a host of customisation options, including forward or mid-controls, narrow or wide-mounted footpegs and two- or thee-inch handlebar risers. The KRGT-1 will retail for an eye-popping USD 78,000 (Rs 48.48 lakh) in the US market, which will ensure the exclusivity of this piece of motoring art. It will be offered with two paint schemes – bare billet and black.
