- Ather 450X to get a new paint scheme

Ather Energy is set to host its Ather Community Day on 7 January, 2023, which promises new updates and announcements. Although the press invite doesn’t reveal much, our sources confirm that Ather will introduce a new colour option for the 450X scooter.
The third-generation Ather 450X is available in three colour options – Space Grey, Mint Green, and White. Although it is anybody’s guess what the new colour would be, we believe it could be a more acceptable paint scheme, targeted towards mature buyers. The new paint scheme is also expected to be offered on the lower-spec 450 Plus model.
Besides the new paint option, we don’t expect the Ather 450X to receive any changes. That said, there are rumours suggesting that Ather might introduce a new entry-level e-scooter, but our sources suggest that is unlikely to happen at the Ather Community Day.
The Ather 450X uses a PMSM electric motor that is good for 8.31bhp and 26Nm. On the other hand, the power figures for the Ather 450 Plus stand at 7.24bhp and 22Nm. The 450X completes the 0-40kph acceleration in 3.3s seconds, while the 450 Plus makes the same sprint in 3.9 seconds.
