- 100th outlet inaugurated in Delhi
- Plans to expand the number to 200 outlets by March 2023
- Currently offers two products in the Indian market
Ather Energy has announced the inauguration of its 100th Experience Centre in the Indian market. The latest outlet has commenced operations in Patparganj, New Delhi.
The company’s rapid expansion plans helped it reach the 100-store milestone from 50 stores in September 2022, within a short span of five months. Ather Energy currently operates in 80 cities in over 20 states across India. The Bangalore-based manufacturer said in its press statement that it currently has a market share of 14.1 per cent, making it one of the top 3 players in the segment. The company now aims to open 200 touchpoints by March 2023.
Speaking about the company’s expansion plans, Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said that the two-wheeler maker is present only in 56 per cent of the geographies where electric vehicles are sold, and that gives the brand a huge headroom to grow.
Meanwhile, Ather Energy currently has over 900 Ather Grids across the country. The company plans to install 1,400 Ather Grids by the end of FY23. Further, the company has also launched Ather Neighbourhood Charging, which provides access to charging points in shared private spaces such as apartment complexes, office buildings, and tech parks.
Apart from achieving the 100th Experience Centre milestone, Ather Energy also celebrated the rolling out of the 1,00,000th scooter from its manufacturing facility earlier this year. Its current product portfolio comprises two models – Ather 450X and Ather 450 Plus. The ex-showroom prices of these products, post the Fame II revision, stand at Rs 1,57,507 and Rs 1,35,996, respectively.
