Ather Energy has inaugurated its new retail outlet – Ather Space in Coimbatore. The new outlet, which was inaugurated in association with Rajdurai's E-Vehicles, is located in Ramnagar area of the city. The company will offer two products, the Ather 450X and the Ather 450 Plus through this Ather Space.
The Ather 450 X and the Ather 450 Plus are priced at Rs 1,46,296 and Rs 1,27,286, respectively (ex-showroom, Coimbatore after FAME-II subsidies). The state-level subsidies further bring out the ex-showroom prices. The Tamil Nadu government currently offers incentives to vehicle manufacturers ranging from full reimbursement of state GST paid on the sale of vehicles to exemptions from electricity tax for manufacturing units and a 15-20 per cent subsidy on land cost. The government also provides a complete exemption from motor vehicle taxes for battery-powered vehicles until 2022.
This is Ather Energy’s third experience centre in Tamil Nadu. The other two outlets are located in Chennai and Trichy. Earlier this year, Ather Energy also expanded its reach in the Indian market with new outlets in Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Trichy, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Indore, and Nashik.
