- Sold 2,825 units in January 2022
- Currently facing challenges with supply chain
- Plans to expand further in next few months
Ather Energy has released the sales data for January 2022. The Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler maker sold 2,825 scooters in January 2022, registering a growth of 366 per cent over January last year.
Speaking about the sales performance, Ravneet Phokela, CBO, Ather Energy, said that the company continues to witness strong demand across the country. He added that Ather Energy delivered 2,825 units in January 2022, and was unable to meet the total demand owing to supply chain challenges that the industry is facing.
Elaborating the company’s strategy to address the growing demand, Phokela said that Ather Energy continued to expand its retail footprint in January and opened new experience centres in Nagpur and Lucknow. He also said that the pace of retail expansion will only accelerate over the next few months as the company enters new cities and opens more experience centres to meet the scaled-up volumes.
Ather Energy currently has 29 retail outlets and 304 fast-charging Ather Grid Points across 24 cities in the country.
