- New outlets to be inaugurated in a staggered manner by Q2 2022
- Also plans to expand Ather Grid charging network
Ather Energy has revealed plans to expand its retail outlets in the state of Kerala with the addition of eight new experience centres.
These new outlets would be inaugurated in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of Kerala, like Kollam, Trichur, Palakkad, Kannur, Kasaragod, Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Pathanamthitta. With these new outlets, the Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker will have a total of 13 retail stores across the state. Currently, the company has functional outlets in Kochi, Kozhikode, Trivandrum, Tirur, and Malappuram. The manufacturer said in its press announcement that the rapid retail expansion in Kerala is driven by positive responses to the Ather 450X and 450 Plus electric scooters.
Ravneet S Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said that the electric vehicle demand has been rising across Kerala with customers increasingly looking for better options. Phokela further added that Ather Energy’s expansion across the state is a result of this strong demand and the overwhelming interest from retail partners. Ather will be opening up its new outlets in the aforementioned cities in a staggered manner by Q2 2022. The company has been talking to prospective retail partners in these markets and has already begun locating spaces to set up its fast-charging network, Ather Grid.
The Ather 450X is currently available at Rs 1,52,401 while the Ather Plus is priced at Rs 1,33,391 (ex-showroom, post FAME-II revision) in Kerala.
