- More affordable e-scooter under development
- Could use the 450 platform
- Unlikely to have touchscreen cluster
Ather Energy might be working on making its scooter more affordable. According to rumours, the Bengaluru-based company might be developing an electric-scooter that could have a sub Rs 1 lakh price.
This scooter is being developed to give the brand a more affordable pricing point that will help it take on the new products like the Ola S1. The company claims that this product has been under development for over a year now and is not being developed due to the new entrants.
We believe Ather won’t be working on a brand new scooter. We think it will use the current 450 platform and build a scooter with lesser features, accessible performance and decrease riding range. So things like colour touchscreen, fancier features might not make it to this new affordable model.
We can expect this new Ather to make its debut sometime next year and hopefully don’t price it really expensive.
