- Powered by a 291cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor
- Spotted testing in India
- Gets LED illumination, a digital console, and more
The Honda XRE 300 has made it to India at the Auto Expo 2023. Sadly, it was only for display purposes at the Ethanol stall alongside other flex-fuel-compatible bikes. Here's what we know about it so far.
The Honda XRE 300 dons a thorough ADV attire. It gets an LED headlight topped by a visor, a beak below it, and large tank shrouds. Honda has equipped the bike with a tail rack and a single-piece seat that appears to taper towards the fuel tank.
It’s powered by a 291cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor with the output rated at 25.5bhp at 7,500rpm and 27Nm at 6,000rpm. It’s mated to a five-speed gearbox. Adhering to its off-road nature, the XRE also gets an upswept exhaust. The XRE 300 gets LED illumination and a digital instrument console on the feature front.
It rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock while the braking hardware comprises a single front and rear disc with ABS. The Honda ADV benefits from spoked wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.
The bike was spotted testing in India last year. And if Honda launches the XRE 300 here, it'll rival the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan, Yezdi Adventure, BMW G 310 GS and more.
