- MBP announces its India entry
- Unveils M502N mid-size street bike
- To be sold through Benelli-Keeway dealerships
Italian two-wheeler brand MBP has been brought to India by Adishwar Auto Ride group which sells Benelli and Keeway offerings in our country. MBP, which stands for Moto Bologna Passione, announced its India entry at the 2023 Auto Expo with two motorcycles, one of which is the M502N. This bike will mainly compete against the KTM 390 Duke.
The MBP M502N is an aggressively designed motorcycle with angular bodywork. The front fascia comprises a small yet radical-looking headlamp with vertically-stacked LEDs. The sculpted fuel tank is accompanied by sleek extensions which look neat and blend nicely with the raked and pointed tail section. Adding to its visual appeal are beefy golden upside-down forks and a chunky exhaust canister.
Powering the M502N is a 489cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 50bhp at 8,500rpm and 45Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm. The hardware package is quite premium as it comprises a KYB suspension setup with preload adjustability for the monoshock along with J.Juan brakes at both ends. This is accompanied by dual-channel ABS sourced from Bosch. Moreover, the 17-inch alloy wheels of the bike are shod with Pirelli Angel GT tyres that deliver impressive grip. All the information about the bike is displayed on a 4.2-inch TFT dash that misses out on Bluetooth connectivity.
MBP motorcycles are manufactured in China and will be sold through the Benelli-Keeway dealership in India. The official prices of the MBP M502N will be announced soon.
