Joy ebike has announced the launch of its new high-speed electric scooter, the Mihos in the Indian market. The company made the announcement and showcased this product at the 2023 Auto Expo in Delhi. The company said that the electric scooter was designed and developed by WardWizard’s R&D team in Vadodara. In terms of styling, the Mihos features a retro design that comprises a round headlight at the front, round-shaped rear-view mirrors, apron-mounted front turn indicators, and curvy body panels.
The Mihos electric scooter rides on telescopic forks at the front and a mono-reversible spring suspension at the rear. The safety features available on this electric scooter include a side stand sensor and Hydraulic Combi Braking System (CBS). Other features include Bluetooth connectivity, remote accessibility of battery status, reverse mode, GPS, anti-theft feature, and regenerative braking.
In terms of performance, the 1500W electric motor is claimed to produce a torque output of 95Nm. The company claims that the scooter can accelerate from 0-40kmph in less than seven seconds. Meanwhile, the top speed is rated at 70kmph. Further, it uses a 74V40Ah Li-Ion-based battery with Nickel Manganese Cobalt chemistry. It takes four hours to fully charge and the claimed range stands at 100km.
This electric scooter will be sold in four colours – Metallic Blue, Solid Black Glossy, Solid Yellow Glossy, and Pearl White. All paint options are available at an ex-showroom (pan India) price tag of Rs 1,49,000. The electric scooter will be produced at the company’s manufacturing facility in Vadodara, Gujarat and the deliveries will commence in a phased manner across the country.
