- Year-on-year domestic sales grew by six per cent
- Exports witnessed 43 per cent growth

Bajaj Auto has released its sales data for the month of June 2021. The company registered a six per cent growth in year-on-year two-wheeler sales in the domestic market last month as against June 2020.
The Pune-based manufacturer sold 1,55,640 units in June 2021 as against 1,46,695 units in the corresponding month last year. The year-on-year exports, too, witnessed a positive growth of 43 per cent, and Bajaj Auto sold 1,54,938 units in the international markets last month as compared to 1,08,427 units in June 2020. The overall sales (domestic and exports) grew by 22 per cent.
The year-to-date data saw a major jump in numbers, and Bajaj Auto registered an overall growth of 125 per cent. The company sold 8,99,305 units between April and June 2021 as against 3,99,929 units during the corresponding period last year. The year-to-date numbers for the domestic sales and exports grew by 84 per cent and 160 per cent, respectively. The company sold 3,42,552 units in the domestic market between April and June 2021 as against 1,85,981 units during April-June 2020.
The lower sales numbers in 2020 were a result of the nationwide strict lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
