- Sold 96,102 units in India in May 2022
- Domestic sales grew by 59 per cent
- Exports declined by 15 per cent
Bajaj Auto has released its sales data for May 2022. The Pune-based two-wheeler maker reported a 59 per cent increase in domestic sales. The company sold 96,102 units in May 2022 against 60,342 two-wheelers in the corresponding month last year. The number was slightly better than its April 2022 sales where the company sold 93,233 units in India.
While the domestic sales witnessed a growth, exports declined by 15 per cent during the same period. Bajaj Auto exported 1,53,397 two-wheelers to the overseas markets in May 2022 as against 1,80,212 units in May last year.
It is to be noted that in May 2022, Bajaj Auto revised the prices of its biggest displacement Pulsar motorcycles, the Pulsar F250 and Pulsar N250 in India. The company also expanded the availability of its electric scooter, the Chetak in more cities across the country. Furthermore, the two-wheeler maker has taken the CT 100 off the shelf from the Indian market.
