While the domestic sales grew by five per cent, the exports witnessed a downfall of 14 per cent over July 2021.
The company sold 1,64,384 units domestically in the recently concluded month against 1,56,232 units in July 2021. The year-to-date figures, too, showed similar numbers and the overall sales during April-July 2022 fell by six per cent against the corresponding period last year.
Elaborating about its year-to-date performance, Bajaj Auto said in its press announcement that the sales in the quarter were significantly constrained by the inadequate availability of semi conductors. However, the situation improved in the latter part of the quarter as new supply sources were developed.
