- Domestic two-wheeler sales for March 2022 fell by 41 per cent

Bajaj Auto has reported its sales data for March 2022 and the recently concluded financial year 2021-22. The company recorded a 41 per cent decline in month-on-month sales for March 2022. The Pune-based manufacturer sold 1,07,081 units in the domestic market during March 2022 against 1,82,393 units during the corresponding month last year. The exports witnessed a marginal improvement and the company sold 1,49,243 units in March 2022 against 1,48,740 units in March 2021.
During the financial year 2021-22, the company sold 38,36,856 two-wheelers against 36,05,893 units during FY2020-21, recording an improvement of six per cent. While domestic sales fell by nine per cent, exports grew by 22 per cent. Domestic sales during FY2021-22 stood at 16,41,084 units against 18,09,375 units during FY2020-21. The exports improved from 17,96,518 units in FY2020-21 to 21,95,772 units during FY2021-22.
During FY2021-22, the company updated its product portfolio with the launch of the new Pulsar F250, Pulsar N250, Pulsar NS125, and the Dominar 400 Touring Edition. Bajaj Auto also announced its first electric scooter, the Chetak in several cities in the country.
