- Both names have been recently filed
- Could have been done for the sake of name locking
- No word from Bajaj on any new recent developments
Bajaj Auto has trademarked two new names for the Pulsar lineup which go by Pulsar Elan and Pulsar Eleganz. The filing was done in March and here’s what we think of it.
Given that Bajaj recently launched the Pulsar 250 duo, it’s unlikely that the Chakan-based bikemaker could indulge in something similar. So, that’s out of the equation. However, the retro bike genre has been recently picking pace and Bajaj had one in its stable in the form of the Pulsar 150.
While that could be a possibility, our sources tell us that the filing could be done for the sake of locking the name for future use. And, as of now, there has been no chatter around Bajaj developing any new product which could resurrect the retro Pulsar.
All said and done, if Bajaj does revive the Pulsar 150 or a bigger one with similar design cues, expect it to likely be on the affordable side. However, we also hope that it jumps on the bandwagon at the right time unlike the N250 and the F250.
