- Bajaj Swing and Genie names trademarked
- Could be used for upcoming electric scooters
Bajaj Auto has trademarked the Bajaj Swing and Bajaj Genie names for its upcoming offerings in India. Although the trademark application doesn’t reveal the product body styles for these names, we believe these could be used for Bajaj’s upcoming electric vehicles.
Going by the names, the Bajaj Swing could be used for an upcoming electric scooter. However, the Bajaj Genie could be used for an electric three-wheeler or perhaps even for a B2B offering. That said, only time will tell what products Bajaj will launch with these names.
In the past, Bajaj Auto had trademarked the Aura, Hammer and Racer names for its upcoming products. At present, Bajaj only sells the Chetak electric scooter in India, a rather stylish and likeable offering from the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer.
Besides the electric two-wheeler business, Bajaj Auto has its hands full with its Triumph and KTM partnerships. The company will soon launch the Triumph Street 400 and the Scrambler 400 in India on 5 July. Meanwhile, the company is also getting the next-generation KTM 390 Duke ready for launch, which will likely be introduced in early 2024.
