Bajaj Auto has filed an application to register a new two-wheeler brand. This brand is called the Darkstar and it could be launched as a product or as a service.
Just like the other two-wheeler brands, Bajaj also applies plenty of applications to register new brands. While some of these brands make it to reality, others are just registered. This approach helps OEMs protect their future plans.
In the case of Darkstar, this new name is yet-to-be approved but it has passed all the formalities. So we can expect Bajaj to get this brand in the next few months. However, this doesn’t mean they will launch a two-wheeler with this name. In the past too, the Pune-based manufacturer has registered a few names but it hasn’t been launched in the market.
