- Platina CNG rumoured under development
- Launch by October 2024
- Only CNG bike in India
Bajaj is rumoured to be working on a motorcycle that could use CNG fuel. This bike is likely to hit the Indian market within a year.
According to a report, this motorcycle has been codenamed Bruzer and is almost in the final stages of development. A few prototypes of the bike have already been manufactured for testing purposes. Initially, this motorcycle will be manufactured at Bajaj’s Aurangabad plant and start making it at its Pant Nagar plant.
Currently, there is little detail on this bike, but the brand Platina is being considered for this motorcycle. Platina is an entry-level 110cc bike brand for Bajaj that does good volumes for the company in India. With the CNG Platina, the Pune-based company could consider increasing its presence in the urban markets that rely quite a bit on CNG. Most cities like New Delhi and Mumbai have excellent infrastructure for CNG delivery, and this upcoming Bajaj motorcycle could assist the brand in growing its sales in the green segment.
