- Bajaj CNG bike launch soon
- Likely to target 100-160cc bikes
- Could be called Bruzer
Bajaj Auto is planning to launch its first-ever CNG motorcycle in the next quarter. The company had earlier planned to launch the bike in 2025.
According to reports, this CNG motorcycle is likely to make its official debut by June. As of now, there is no news about the name of this motorcycle, nor are there any details on the displacement. However, the company is planning to position this bike in such a way that it caters to a wide range of segments – 100cc to 160cc.
Bajaj doesn’t have a big presence in the urban market. Its Platina and the CT100 range sell quite a bit in rural markets. But with this upcoming CNG motorcycle, it is clear that the Pune-based manufacturer is planning to make its presence felt in major cities that rely heavily on CNG. Through this route, Bajaj should be able to improve its mass-market business by a big margin. But it will be interesting to see if Indian consumers are willing to wait in line for CNG fuel because the majority of CNG pumps still run long queues for four-wheelers.
