- Four new brand names applied for trademark
- Aura and Elixir are two of them
- Triumph Scrambler 400X launch likely next month
Bajaj Motorcycles is known to apply for new brand names months before the bike or brand debut. However this time around, the Pune-based manufacturer has gone aggressive.
According to India’s trademark website, the company has applied to register four names – Bomber, Zinger, Elixir, and Aura. While some of these applications date back to late 2022, a few have been applied for within this year. With these applications, it is clear that Bajaj has a lot of plans in mind. However, these trademarks don’t necessarily mean the names are for new bikes. It could also be used for other motorcycle-related services like a new oil brand or marketing activity.
Currently, the Pune-based manufacturer is focusing a lot on making and marketing its Triumph and KTM range of bikes. The response for the Triumph Speed 400 has been great, and it’s the same story with the new KTM 390 Duke. The company will soon launch the Scrambler 400X in India in a few weeks, and when that happens, Bajaj will officially have another off-road motorcycle to take on the Royal Enfields.
