- Likely to be powered by the same motor as the NS125/Pulsar 125
- Will rival the TVS Raider 125 , Hero Glamour and other 125cc commuters
- Spotted testing in India
Last year, Bajaj launched the Pulsar N250 in India and this year, it introduced the Pulsar N160 as well. It seems that a third model could join Bajaj’s N-line very soon since a test mule of the upcoming N125 has been spotted.
What makes us believe it could be the N125 is the overall structure. The design, though camouflaged, appears on the lines of the larger N models. The test mule is equipped with a halogen headlight and split LED taillamps. The tank shrouds give it a tad sportier appearance.
The motor is likely to be a 125cc unit sourced from the NS125/ Pulsar 125. It’s an air-cooled mill with the output rated at around 12bhp and 11Nm. However, it won’t be a surprise if Bajaj tunes the N125’s engine a bit differently.
The N125’s test mule featured conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware consisted of a disc brake at both ends mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in road-biased tyres. But Bajaj could offer a front disc and rear drum brake setup as well to make the bike more accessible. The test unit sported a single-piece seat.
Once launched, the Bajaj N125 will be the most affordable model in the Pulsar N series. It’ll rival the TVS Raider 125, Honda SP125 and the Glamour 125.
