- Powered by a 496cc V4 engine
- Unveiled at China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition
- Gets air suspension, cruise control, and more
Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer Benda Motorcycles introduced its latest offering at the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition. It’s a 500cc cruiser motorcycle with a V4 motor at its heart. Here’s what it gets.
The BD500 Black Flag cruiser looks quite muscular and gets a butch design. Adhering to a thorough cruiser design, the Benda cruiser gets a low stance, a wide handlebar, and forward-set footpegs. It features an LED headlight, twin exhaust setup, and sharp alloy wheel design.
Powering the new Chinese cruiser is a 496cc liquid-cooled V4 engine with the output rated at 56.3bhp and 45Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. While the engine output seems decent on paper, the BD500 Black Flag is certainly heavy at 241kg.
It gets a semi-digital instrument console, cruise control, cylinder deactivation, and air suspension. It rides on USD front forks and dual rear shocks. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a single front and rear disc with ABS. Lastly, the BD500 Black Flag is currently limited to the Chinese market and won’t be launched in India anytime soon.
