- Features 904cc parallel-twin cylinder engine
- Gets LED illumination, ride modes, ABS, and more
- Unveiled in the international market only as of now
Benelli has taken the wraps off its latest offering, the 902S. However, the bike debuted at the Beijing Motor Show and could soon make its way to the Chinese market. Here is what we know about it.
On the design front, it gets a bulb-shaped headlight cowl with vertically stacked LED projector bulbs on the inside. This is followed by a wide fuel tank placed on the exposed chassis appearing slightly similar to the one we see on the 502C. The 902S gets a single-piece seat with a scoop, which gives it a power cruiser-like stance. The bike appears enticing, with mixed design cues that are sporty and curvy at some points.
Powering the Benelli 902S is a 904cc parallel-twin cylinder engine that belts out 105bhp and gets a six-speed gearbox. Its list of rider aids includes ride modes, traction control system, and ABS modes. As seen here, the hardware comprises USD front forks a monoshock, a twin front and a single rear disc. The latter is mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 180/55 rear tyres.
Benelli could initially offer the 902S in China followed by the European market. However, considering the brand’s current presence and aspirational value in India, its chances of getting the 902S here are bleak. As of now, Benelli’s most premium offering for our country is the 500cc range comprising the 502 ADV range and the cruiser.
