- New Leoncino 400 Bobber revealed
- Gets a new 60-degree V-twin engine
- Looks like a Harley-Davidson
There’s a new Bobber in town, and this time, it is from a Chinese-owned Italian brand—Benelli. Enter the Leoncino 400 Bobber.
The Leoncino brand has always been about cruisers, and with this new bike, the company is trying to bridge the gap between its 125cc and 500cc models. The Leoncino 400 Bobber is a modern retro cruiser that has taken some design inspiration from American cruiser companies.
The Leoncino 400 Bobber is powered by a new 60-degree V-Twin engine that makes just 25bhp, and the peak torque comes at just 4500rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox that transfers power to the rear wheel via a belt drive—a system usually seen only on big cruisers.
This Benelli gets USD forks up front and a twin shock setup at the back. The suspension travel is just 100mm and 125mm at the front and rear, respectively. With a super accessible seat height of just 730mm, this Bobber makes a lot of sense for shorter riders. It weighs less than 200kg at 180kg and is expected to have a comfortable ride. There’s a circular TFT screen on the bike that shows a decent amount of ride information.
This Benelli will go on sale in China first, followed by a launch in Europe sometime next year. Sadly, it won't come to India anytime soon as the brand hasn’t been able to sell many bikes here.
