The Benelli TNT 25 will be launched in India tomorrow. First showcased at the India Bike Week in Goa earlier this year, this quarter-litre streetfighter will be the new entry-level model in Benelli's Indian portfolio.
Visually, the Benelli TNT 25 is influenced by its bigger siblings and features several characteristic streetfighter styling cues like an exposed frame, a sculpted fuel tank and minimal bodywork. The TNT 25, like the rest of Benelli range, is built on a steel trestle frame, with the engine as a stressed member. Powering the bike is a 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which delivers 25bhp and 22Nm of torque. The 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels get a 280mm disc brake at the front, and a 240mm disc brake in the rear.
For now, the TNT 25 will be the lone single-cylinder model in Benelli’s range. Like the other five models in Benelli's line-up, the TNT 25 will also be locally assembled at DSK Motowheels’ facility in Maharashtra. This should help the company price their motorcycles very competitively, as the CKD motorcycles fall in a lower tax bracket than their CBU counterparts. The TNT 25 will go up against more powerful motorcycles like the Mahindra Mojo and the KTM Duke 390.
