- Powered by a 399cc, twin-cylinder engine
- Features single-sided swingarm, upside-down front forks
- Unveiling details unavailable yet
Some leaked patent images have reportedly revealed Benelli’s new middleweight supersport motorcycle, the Tornado 402R.
The images give a detailed look at the styling of the motorcycle. The styling cues include a single-pod headlight at the front with twin LED DRLs, clip-on style handlebars, a muscular fuel tank, a step-up seat, and a split-style design for the alloy wheels. It also gets a single-sided swingarm and a side-slung exhaust. The hardware, too, is clearly visible and the suspension tasks are handled by upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. The braking duties are performed by single discs on both wheels.
The mechanical specifications will reportedly include a 399cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The details about power and torque output are not available yet, but the source report suggests that it will deliver nearly the same figures as the Ninja 400. Thus, expect it to deliver around 45bhp and 38Nm of torque.
The unveiling and launch details are unavailable yet. We may see the production-spec model in 2023, if not later.
