Benelli has added another ADV to its portfolio as the TRK 702 for the Chinese market. It retails at CNY 46,800 (approximately Rs 5.4 lakh excluding taxes) onwards and goes all the way to CNY 50,800 (approximately Rs 5.90 lakh). Here’s what it offers.
On the design front, the Benelli TRK 702 looks similar to the TRK 502. It features a muscular design with chunky bodywork and a fairly tall stance. It gets split LED headlights with a sturdy-looking beak below and a transparent visor above. Similar to its smaller sibling, the TRK 702 also gets an upswept exhaust.
It's powered by a 693cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill that dishes out 75bhp and 68.2Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a slipper clutch. That said, Benelli offers the TRK 702 in two variants: off-road and on-road. Both models get the same motor with the same tune.
Suspension duties for the new Benelli ADV are done by USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises dual front discs and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS. As for the wheels, the road-going model gets 17-inch alloys wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/70 rear tyre while the off-road model rides on 110/80-19 front and 150/70-17 rear spoked wheels shod with dual-purpose rubber.
For the rider aids, the Benelli TRK 702 gets ABS, a fully digital instrument cluster, cameras for recording while riding, and heated grips as well.
Benelli India hasn’t announced the TRK 702’s India debut as of now. But if it does happen, the TRK 702 will have the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT in its crosshair.
