- 250cc fully-faired Benelli image and specs leaked
- Received type approval in China
- Likely to be launched in multiple international markets later
Benelli’s China-based parent company, Qianjiang, has recently got a few of its upcoming motorcycles type-approved in its home country. Amongst these bikes is a new 250cc fully-faired sportsbike, and a picture and certain specifications of this motorcycle have leaked on the internet.
On the styling front, it can surely give the TVS Apache RR310 and the KTM RC 390 a run for their money with its extremely aggressive and sharp aesthetics. The front fascia looks menacing with an edgy dual headlamp setup housed in an angular fairing. And the fuel tank is properly muscular while the tail section is also sleek and pointy.
This 250cc motorcycle from Qianjiang is sporty not only cosmetically but perhaps in terms of ergonomics as well. There’s a clip-on handlebar, split-type seat and slightly rear-set footpegs. As for the specifications, its 249cc engine reportedly produces around 27bhp of power and it weighs 159kg (kerb). Moreover, it will be available in two versions. The higher-spec model gets an aluminum single-sided swingarm while the cheaper model sports a steel double-sided swingarm.
With certain changes and a new name, this motorcycle is likely to be introduced in several international markets by Benelli after its official debut by Qianjiang in China. However, its India entry is unlikely anytime soon.
