Chinese-owned Italian two-wheeler maker, Benelli, has launched the TRK 700 and the TRK 700X in the European market to rival the likes of the KTM 790 Adventure, Yamaha Tenere 700, and Aprilia Tuareg 660. Interestingly, both variants are available at EUR 7,740 (Rs. 7.02 lakh).
Both variants of this adventure-tourer series use the same 698cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. The European-spec model is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 69bhp and a peak torque of 68Nm. Notably, while the engine specifications are identical, other hardware differs based on the selected version.
The road-biased variant uses 17-inch alloy wheels, while the X variant gets 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke units. Other hardware on these motorcycles includes upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, twin discs at the front, and a single rotor at the back.
Meanwhile, the styling cues comprise a twin-pod headlight, semi-fairing with a beak-style front, a windscreen, knuckle guards, a 20-litre fuel tank, a step-up seat, and a tall-set exhaust canister. The feature list on both variants includes full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled five-inch colour TFT display, and heated grips and seats.
While the motorcycle has arrived in Europe, the India launch details of the Benelli TRK 700 and TRK 700X are not available yet. Notably, the company has launched new paint options for the TRK 502 and TRK 502X in India.
