Select BMW Motorrad dealerships have commenced the unofficial pre-bookings for the upcoming C 400 GT ahead of its India launch. Interested buyers can reserve a unit of the maxi-scooter at select dealerships for a token amount of Rs 1,00,000. The final prices and launch details are not available yet, although we expect an announcement very soon. The Indian arm of the German two-wheeler maker had confirmed the plans to introduce the C 400 GT in the Indian market via its social media handles.
The maxi-scooter is already available in select international markets where it uses a Euro5-compliant engine. The single-cylinder engine produces 33.5bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 35Nm of peak torque at 5,750rpm. Expect the India-bound model to pack similar numbers. The top speed of the scooter is rated at 139kmph.
In terms of styling, the C 400 GT features a sharp and muscular design that includes an apron-mounted headlight, a windscreen, split-style footboard, step-up saddle with GT tag, and sporty pillion grab-rails. The maxi-scooter will arrive at a premium price tag, although the final prices would be available at launch. We expect the India launch to take place very soon.
