- Powered by a 31kW (peak power) motor
- Gets ride modes, traction control, ABS, and more
- Gets an 8.9kWh lithium-ion battery
Alongside the 2023 S1000RR’s launch, BMW Motorrad also displayed the CE 04 electric scooter in India. Here’s what we know about the German EV.
The BMW CE 04 looks quite futuristic with its long side panels, LED headlight, and overall design bits. It gets a single-piece seat and features rather unconventional and muscular bodywork. BMW has powered the CE 04 with a 31kW (peak power) motor which accelerates the scooter from 0-50kmph in 2.6 seconds and gets a top speed of 120kmph.
Its motor is mated to 8.9kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing the CE 04 to munch about 130km on a single charge. Using a regular charger, the battery can be fully charged in 4 hours and 20 minutes. But the same can be cut to 1 hour 40 minutes using a fast charger.
Meanwhile, the BMW electric scooter rides on telescopic front forks and a side-mounted rear monoshock. Its braking hardware comprises 265mm front discs and a single rear disc mounted on 15-inch wheels. The latter is wrapped in 120 front and 160 rear tyres. BMW has equipped the CE 04 with three ride modes, traction control, ABS, a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity to offer navigation, and more.
BMW is yet to reveal its plans for the CE 04’s launch in India. But considering the Bavarian brand launched a fairly expensive scooter like the C400 GT, it won’t be a surprise if the CE 04 also makes it to the Indian market.
