BMW CE02 electric scooter spotted testing again

- Will be produced at TVS’s Hosur manufacturing plant

- Spotted testing in India

- Features 2kWh battery with 45km range

The BMW CE02 electric scooter has been spotted testing in India once again. This time we saw the test mule near Bengaluru, which seemed ready for production. The Bavarian EV has been spotted on several test runs and could be launched in India soon. Here is what we expect from it.

The BMW CE02 has a pretty simple build. Its test mule looks smaller in proportions compared to a full-size electric scooter. It gets LED illumination, a single flat seat with the battery and motor placement below. BMW will offer features like LED lighting, a reverse gear, keyless operation, a USB charging port and a 3.5-inch TFT screen and ABS, on the CE02.

Powering the BMW CE02 is a 2kWh battery. It will come with a single or dual battery setup. This means the scooter offers 90km of range and a 95kmph top speed or a 45km range. It rides on USD forks, and adjustable rear shocks, and uses a 239mm front disc with a 220mm rear disc. These are mounted on 14-inch wheels that are wrapped in 120/80 and 150/70 section tyres.

BMW could launch in India in the coming months and may use the same platform for its other developments.
