- BMW CE-04 e-scooter launched in the international markets
- Gets a top speed of 120kmph
- Gets three riding modes (Eco, Road and Rain)
BMW had unveiled the Definition CE-04 e-scooter in November last year. The e-scooter was then spotted testing multiple times in the past few months. Now finally the German brand has launched the CE-04 electric scooter in the international markets. The CE-04 will arrive in the US by 2022.
The CE-04 gets a streamlined front section and an unconventional side profile. The electric scooter gets sharp elements on its fairing, a BMW badge and a flat single-piece seat. The CE-04 comes loaded with features like all LED lights, a 10.24-inch TFT coloured instrument cluster, three riding modes (Eco, Road and Rain) and a USB-C charging port. It is further equipped with safety features like dual-channel ABS, automatic stability control, dynamic traction control and an intelligent emergency call system.
Powering the CE-04 is a 8.9kWh air-cooled lithium-ion battery that lends it a range of over 100km, and it requires a charging time of one hour forty minutes when charged via a fast charger. The electric scooter is propelled by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet motor that produces 41.57bhp of power. This battery and motor combination lends the e-scooter a top speed of 120kmph.
The BMW CE-04 electric scooter is priced at Euro 11,990 in Germany, which converts to Rs 10.57 lakh. The e-scooter is available in two colour options: Grey Metallic and Light White. The Grey Metallic variant comes with orange highlights, a black/orange seat, an orange wind deflector and various graphics. Whereas the Light White variant is complemented by a black/grey seat and a transparent wind deflector. While BMW Motorrad has launched the CE-04 in the international markets, its arrival in India seems quite doubtful.
