BMW Motorrad closes 2022 with highest-ever sales

- BMW Motorrad registered a 4.4 per cent growth in 2022

- BMW Motorrad India recorded 40 per cent growth over 2021

- G 310 series contributed 24,000 units to the overall sales

BMW Motorrad has announced its sales data for 2022 and the company has registered its best-ever performance in the recently concluded year. The Bavarian two-wheeler manufacturer said in its press statement that it achieved the highest sales in its corporate history with 2,02,895 motorcycles and scooters, an increase of 4.4 per cent over the previous year.

Germany remains the largest market for BMW Motorrad, with the company registering an increase of 6.7 per cent in sales in the country. Meanwhile, the Indian arm of the two-wheeler maker recorded a 40 per cent increase in sales numbers over 2021.

The company’s entry-level products, the G 310 R and the G 310 GS dominated the sales. In fact, BMW Motorrad sold 24,000 units of the G 310 R roadster and the G 310 GS adventure-tourer worldwide. BMW Motorrad will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2023 and the company says that it has big surprises planned for this year. The Bavarian brand is working on updating its flagship adventurer tourer range and we expect to see the new model very soon.
